Different ways animal support ecosystems (plants, ocean, and population balance)
By. Shayla
Did you know that animals are a very important part in maintaining ecosystems? It’s true that it is essential for earth’s survival without them we wouldn’t even be here but enough of that, let’s see why they’re so important for the earth.
Some animals help with plant growth like bees and flowers; Bees are pollinators same as others. Pollinators transfer pollen between flowers helping fertilization and seed production. Seed Dispersers spread seeds after pollination helping the survival of plants. Pest controllers protect plants from harmful pests.
Water animals: Marine animals help earth by capturing and storing carbon which helps protect the environment. Whales feed at the bottom of the ocean bringing nutrients to the top for plants. Mesopelagic fish feed on the surface and release carbon in deeper waters. When most fish eat, they get carbon which helps plants get nutrients and helps them grow.
Plant growth: Like birds when they are done eating seeds then they spread them around and let them grow. As said in the first paragraph, bees help pollinate flowers and help with plant growth which produces oxygen, helping us breathe. Without animals we wouldn’t even be here so don’t kill every insect you see. Not every animal is bad predators help with population control so there aren’t too many of one animal in an area.
I hope that this has taught you why animals are important for a nice and healthy ecosystem and why we don’t just kill all of them plus there just beautiful creatures. They all help in there one way so why not help plant some flowers for bees feed whales so they can give plats nutrients remember you can help too.
