all about bronc riding

Bronc riding involves riders riding a bronc for eight seconds in an arena outdoor or indoor arena the riders put they’re special saddles or rigging in a bucking shoot where many people help them out and one person put a flank on the bronc it goes in front of the back legs and is tied no tighter then we would wear our belts it basically just makes them want to buck even though they are actually pretty good horses out of the arena.
They are both scored threw judging the horse gets judged on its bucking skill and the rider gets judged on they’re riding ability and skill. With the scoring being from 0-100 with 0-50 being okay but not making the win and or placing (unless there is no one else there)and 80-90 being good making the win but 90-100 is good making a good win with a bunch of money being won and maybe even a buckle!
Now lets get to the rules of the bronc riding. Now both saddle bronc and bareback bronc riding have different rules but are pretty similar like rider duration. The riders duration is where they both (saddle bronc and bareback) must stay on for eight seconds to qualify for a score (0-100) now the mark out rule. The mark out rule is where the riders have to have they’re spurs in contact with the horses shoulders during the first jump if not it ends into a disqualification.
technique the horses have to be bred for theyre bucking skill and ability a good bronc horse would come from two NFR (national finals rodeo) qualifiers a mare and stallion (stud) that would make an amazing bronc horse by the time it hit about 4-5 years of age after being born and handled for a few years they still would be handled but differently after they join the bucking community. By bronc horses are very loved out of the arena and are cared for they aren’t machines they are living creatures like us and deserve special care just like us.
Now whats the difference between saddle bronc and bareback bronc riding. During saddle bronc they use a special saddle with free swinging stirrups and no saddle horn the stirrups are specially made with the stirrups being way more forward then the original saddles like mine I ride in my stirrups and behind the horses shoulder theres are in front of the shoulder.
and bareback they use something called a rigging a rigging is a leather strap made for the bronc horses that goes on the horses withers and has a ‘’handle’’ (I guess) and they hold onto the rigging and one hand in the air they are different with rules and judging the rigging is a molded piece of leather. And that’s pretty much all about bronc riding!! I have learned this from my personal experience and what I have seen and learned in this sport
