Equipment Update :The Schalmont Teachers’ Institute has several equipment pieces which are ready to be borrowed. Please note: Borrowers may keep the item for up to two weeks. If at the end of the loan period there are no other requests for the item users will be allowed to keep the item beyond two weeks. However, if another borrower has been waiting for the item it must be returned at the end of the two weeks.

27” external monitor with cable to be used with School Laptop when a teacher is teaching remotely while on quarantine or while class is on quarantine.
Pocket-sized coding robots that come with infinite ways to play, create, and share. They are little toy robots that blend the physical and digital worlds — and teach kids programming. We have three classroom sets including 18 Evo bots each (which are pocket sized robots) that let students learn to write programs using color markers and paper.
3D printing starts with a digital file derived from computer aided design (CAD) software which we find on the Internet. The STI Laptop hooks up to the printer and the process begins. When borrowing, you will get the printer, filament(ink) and the STI laptop. You can also connect it with your laptop.
Another action camera option that we have to offer. The GoPro is a small camera that takes the best qualities of point-and-shoots cameras and camcorders and packs those qualities into a rugged frame that’s small, waterproof, and virtually indestructible. Inside the cube design is an image sensor, processor, ultra wide-angle lens, and up to three microphones for recording audio in different conditions. The user interface is made up of just two or three buttons, and touchscreens for more control.
Used with your Apple device (iPad or iPhone) to video tape. Swivl makes classroom video observations easy to do. This app allows you to take advantage of the Swivl robot's 360 degree rotation and multi-channel audio recording capabilities.
Wacom's superior digital pen-input tablets help teachers share ideas more effectively through handwritten drawings, diagrams, annotations and notes – even while using computers and mobile devices. The interactive pen and Intuos tablet help transform and maximize today's digital learning environment and are a great tool for digitizing written mathematical equations. Currently, there are 2 tablets that can be borrowed. There is software on 2 of our laptops that can be used with the tablets.
