*Attention All Class Officers - our first Student Council meeting will be Tuesday, September 15th at 2:20PM in the High School Library. We will be discussing and starting to plan Pep Rally, Homecoming, and Spirit Week. See you all there!
*Attention all Students, Teams, and Clubs, Homecoming is October 16th this year! The Schalmont Athletic Association is running a Homecoming T Shirt Contest! Show your creativity and Sabre Spirit by submitting a design by submitting them to schalmontsports@gmail.com. The contest runs from Monday September 14th to Monday September 21st! See the attached flier.
CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES
*Interested in freshwater ecology? Join Riverwatch! Riverwatch will meet after school Thursday September 17 in room 53.
*International Club: Attention If anyone is still interested in the Greece 2027 trip, please register or come see Mrs. Simon in Room # 44 ! Spots are limited and are on a first come first serve basis.
*There will be a drama club interest meeting on Tuesday Sept 15 at 230 in the auditorium for all students interested in being part of our productions this year. All are welcome!
*Attention all students: the Schalmont Gay-Straight Alliance will have its first meeting on Monday, September 14th after school in room 41. All students are welcome to attend. See Ms. Remis with any questions.
SPORTS
*Varsity boys won a close game against Albany Academy, 2-1 in overtime. Luke Viscusi scored the first goal from a scramble in the box following a Joel Kushner free kick. Then Viscusi set up Luke Martin 2 minutes into the first overtime and the sophomore's fifth goal of the season sealed the win for the Sabres. The boys host Glens Falls on Monday at 4:30, please come out and show your support!
