Welcome!

Hello! My name is Tia Svardahl and I am a high school Special Education teacher. This year will be my third year teaching in the St. Croix Falls School district but my 10th year teaching students with special needs. I grew up in Minnesota and have moved around the country for  17 years so I am excited to be staying in one place! I have lived in Wisconsin for several years and am now a resident of St. Croix Falls.

I have two children; one is in 10th grade and the other is in 12th grade.

I received my undergraduate degree in Japanese Language and Linguistics from the University of Minnesota and my post-baccalaureate teaching degree is from Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin. I have taught in Wisconsin and also in Minnesota for two years. I am happy to be back on this side of the border!

In my free time, I like to read, hike/run trails, do yoga, run obstacle course races, mountain bike, garden, travel, and thrift.
