This issue of the Anchor Fund news particularly celebrates our pupils' contribution to the fund as we are proud to mark the fund's 25th anniversary.
We extend a huge thank you for the tremendous commitment shown during the recent ‘£25 for 25 Years’ initiative; thanks to an amazing collective effort, the pupils raised a total of £12,885.21. We were delighted to witness the enthusiasm and creativity many pupils showed in their fundraising efforts.
This substantial amount will make an immediate and positive difference to the opportunities available in our school.
We now look forward to collaborating with the Student Council to determine the best investment of these funds, the details of which will be shared once confirmed.

Toby Sutherland
Headteacher, St Clement Danes School
It is thanks to your generous donations to the Anchor Fund that the school was able to invite author Matt Pinkett to present to all pupils and staff on Wednesday 12th November, ahead of International Men's Day.
Matt is a teacher, author and speaker, specialising in issues of masculinity and male mental health. Both his books, ‘Boys Do Cry’ and ‘Boys Don't Try?’, and his talks tackle issues such as improving boys’ mental health and wellbeing and how to tackle misogyny.
Matt provided insightful and engaging sessions designed to promote a respectful and responsible school environment for all. The sessions successfully reinforced that empathy and speaking up are true strengths, emphasising the collective responsibility everyone shares in creating a safer, more welcoming school culture. The Anchor Fund is delighted that we could fund this provision for the school.

Bike shed improvements confirmed hanks to your donations
We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to your generous donations, we have officially agreed on plans to fully update and improve the school’s bike shed.
As you can see from the photo of the current facilities, this upgrade is long overdue. By transforming this space into a secure, weather-proof and accessible storage area, we aim to increase the number of pupils cycling to school. This will promote healthier, active lifestyles and help to reduce traffic congestion at the school gates. We cannot thank you enough for the support that has made this vital improvement possible.
A main priority of The Anchor Fund is always to support the faculties in school and this month the fund was able give over £1000 for equipment to Science and over £1000 for texts books to RE. Amongst other items we were also able to fund music stands for Creative Arts Faculty and chomp saws for Product Design.
We remain deeply grateful for the continued generosity of the school community as your contributions to the Anchor Fund play a vital role in enriching the educational experience of every pupil at St Clement Danes. We wish to express our sincere thanks for the support that has allowed us to successfully purchase essential resources and equipment for faculties including Science, PE, Product Design and the LRC so far this year.
While there is much to celebrate, we continue to rely on parental help to maintain our vibrant learning environment. We invite all members of our community to consider setting up a regular donation, as every contribution, regardless of size, is essential for supporting faculty bids, improving facilities, and sustaining the extracurricular opportunities that distinguish St Clement Danes.
Thank you to all who are already part of the Anchor Fund; we very much value your ongoing support.
