Climate Justice Club
PA-3 is hitting the road on a serious learning journey in partnership with MBARI, Elkhorn Slough, UCSC, O'Neill Odyssey and the California State Parks of Santa Cruz County!
Between August 23rd and May 10th we will take a monthly excursion into the great outdoors with our nature journals, curiosity and walking shoes.
Students are working with Scientists, Docents and Rangers to record the natural world around them. Working with multi media watercolor pens, sharpies, colored pencils, recycled paper journals and in-the-moment observations.
Email Irene Hunter on campus to sign up to participate.
The Climate Justice Club in collaboration with City of Santa Cruz is conducting a plastic audit on campus of single use plastic bottles and yogurt containers.
Results will be revelaed on Earth Day 2024!

Student Presentations about Youth Activist Leaders - Fall 2022
Climate change is a big issue, but when we get people working together in our communities, we’re capable of big solutions, too. Changes we make to reduce our own carbon footprints are a great start — but when we connect with others to work on solutions together, we can build a more sustainable future for everyone. Here are some ideas for how to get involved.
From coral reefs to the deep sea, the ocean is feeling the effects of climate change. These impacts affect us too — through sea level rise, more intense storms and droughts and reduced seafood catches.
But it's not too late. Working together, we can reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, slow climate change and adapt to the impacts already in motion.
Understand the ocean’s role in climate change and how we can all take action to protect the ocean.
