SCCPSS is committed to the success of our teachers by providing a comprehensive new teacher orientation. Our System Orientation for Incoming Educators referred to as SOFIE is the first step of supporting educators in their new role. 

On the first day of orientation, educators are welcomed by the superintendent, members of the Savannah Chatham County Board of Education, and other local leaders. A community and district Expo is provided to share additional community services as educators transition to the district. The district orientation consists of an introduction to the Savannah-Chatham's instructional resources, teaching and classroom management strategies, technology support and more.
