Enhances level-one skills and provides opportunities to apply photographic design methods. Stresses composing and processing techniques using a 35mm/or digital camera and pinhole camera with varied focal lengths. Emphasizes appropriate processing techniques, darkroom techniques and digital photography editing. Continues to explore photography and photographers for historical and critical appraisal.
35 mm Digital SLR camera: This camera MUST have manual capabilities and working, built-in light meter.
Due to significant budget cuts, the Visual Art Department is requesting a $50 lab fee from students enrolled in visual art courses. This fee will help provide essential supplies and resources needed to maintain the quality and integrity of our visual art programs. We appreciate your support and contribution. Assessment: class work, homework, 60%
Formal Assessment: written tests, performance, projects 40%
Attendance will be taken daily. It is the student’s responsibility to make arrangements for missed work. Three days will be granted for make-up work with an excused absence or the student will receive a zero for the assignment.
All work turned in late will lose a letter grade each day it is late. After 5 days, late work will not be accepted.
