A Buddy will work alongside Professional Learning Department and Mentor Teachers as someone to support incoming international teachers with successfully transitioning to SCCPSS and the Savannah community. This will include seeing if basic and pedagogical needs are met by providing resources and directing them to the correct person who could assist them. Buddies will also serve as a Professional Learning Cadre member for new teacher orientation (SOFIE) in welcoming new hires to the district.
