The resources below are intended to enhance the collaboration of Savannah Chatham County Public School System with the Curtis V. Cooper health care center through the IAL grant. Having a partnership with Curtis V. Cooper will create communities of readers by providing books and at-home strategies for families. Together we can gift children and families with not only books but the gift of literacy, a skill that is the foundation for lifelong learning.
Curtis V. Cooper is a non-profit community health care center funded federally and locally to serve the Savannah-Chatham County area citizens. The center is available for all medical needs and has pediatricians on staff that treat infants, children, and teenagers. They are able to meet each child’s unique needs, no matter the stage in life. The care center commits to improving the health status of all individuals in Savannah Chatham County, especially those with limited financial resources and high-risk populations. This is accomplished by providing convenient access, high-quality, and comprehensive health care by qualified, culturally sensitive staff.
