Jordan Blanton is currently the Director of Multilingual Learners at Rocketship Public Schools and spent the last 10 years teaching and leading in linguistically diverse communities. She loves exploring with language and is hopeful that her two young sons will achieve bilingualism and biliteracy.

Alice Chen was an elementary school teacher in Taiwan before immigrating to the U.S. when her kids were 6 and 9 years old. In the U.S., she was a classroom volunteer, taught Chinese classes with the Berryessa Chinese School, was a para-educator, and is now a SDC teacher.

Hualing Chen is a parent of two kids and loves learning about education and gaining knowledge from online courses. She feels it is important to do volunteer’s job at school.

Iveth De La Torre Sepulveda is the mother of 3 amazing children that attend Mountain View Whisman School District. Iveth has experience in working as a school teacher for eleven years back in her home country, Mexico. Jane Gilmore is a teacher at Lynbrook High School, Associate Director of the San Jose Area Writing Project (SJAWP), and Director of SJAWP's Teen Novel Writing Program.

Jaime taught middle school English Language Arts for 10 years. Because of her firm belief that children thrive when the family is involved in their school, Jaime's children attended a parent participation school. Currently, Jaime serves as the Parent Engagement Coordinator for the Santa Clara County Office of Education.

Eduardo Rios is a School and Community Engagement Facilitator at Mountain View Whisman School District, who works with parents and students as a liaison to remove barriers in order to improve student learning and achievement. Eduardo believes that all the outreach and support that goes into helping out these families go a long way not just for the students and families but for the entire community. Eduardo loves his job as he is able to accomplish one of his greatest goals in life, “to serve and help others.”

As a Mental Health Peer Support Worker for Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Department, Nguyen understand the importance of aiding those in need of mental health attention due to their mental health concerns. At Behavioral Health, Nguyen and his colleagues provides individual and group support for those in need, especially the underserved population. Nguyen is fluent in English and Vietnamese.

Neltsy has served as the Lead Parent of the Los Dichos program at Rocketship Si Se Puede for several years. She creates lesson plans and trains parent volunteers to co-teach a multilingual literacy experience. Neltsy is also a mom to two bilingual daughters.

My name is Michael Niem Sharpe, I graduated from San Jose State University with a B.A degree in Political Science . I'm currently working as a mental health peer support worker for the County of Santa Clara's Department of Behavioral Health Services an have been doing so over the last 10 years or so. I work in the CCWP (Cultural Communities Wellness Program ) providing outreach ,mental health education and workshops , peer support to consumers and family members of mental health , with focusing on the underserved communities throughout Santa Clara County. I'm bilingual in English and Vietnamese.

Stephanie Tague serves as the coordinator for Santa Clara County Office of Education’s regional Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Technical Assistance Center. Stephanie has served California’s educational system in a variety of roles during her tenure, from AmeriCorps volunteer to administrator. Prior to succumbing to the siren call of the Golden State, Stephanie worked as a behavioral health social worker with a focus on special needs populations in Pennsylvania. She received her degrees from the University of Pittsburgh.

Jerry Uribe is a Business Development Officer at Excite Credit Union. He has a background in Business Psychology and is incredibly passionate about financial literacy and uplifting those within our community through education.

Elizabeth Wallace taught family math classes with the Family Engagement Institute at Foothill College and is currently the Director for Professional Learning for SCU's Noyce Fellowship. She is also a parent at a parent participation school.
