Students, Families, and Educator Focus
Students, Families, and Educator Focus
Everyone has a story that needs to be written, needs to be told, needs to be shared! How can your family heritage be written into your story? How can family wellness, financial literacy, and anti-racism be woven into your family legacy? Let’s explore and grow together to cultivate a culture of belonging.
“We have to belong to ourselves as much as we need to belong to others. Any belonging that asks us to betray ourselves is not true belonging.”
- Brené Brown, Atlas of the Heart
We are pleased to present these workshops as a learning and resource tool.

Anti-Racist Family
Centered around recognizing and demonstrating what it means to be antiracist, participants will engage in understanding how they can be intentional in actions and words. This welcoming and inspiring space will provide attendees with authentic examples of antiracism that are intended to empower and support discussions at home and beyond. The diversity of our lived experiences and daily interactions with the world will structure our workshop around empathy, compassion, and kindness. Through the use of an antiracist lens we will analyze and reflect on the impact of toys, movies, and books, and how they can reinforce racist ideas or support an antiracist mindset. Let’s come together as a diverse community and empower each other to do the essential work with a commitment to making the world a better place.
