My name is Rhonda Malecek. I was born and raised in Iowa (hold the jokes, please!). I've had the opportunity to live in four Midwest states: Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. My husband and I moved from Minnesota to Wisconsin 16 years ago to get our four children to a more rural setting. Not only did we gain the rural setting in Hammond, but we were blessed with an outstanding school district for them to attend.
I taught 5th & 6th grade in South Washington County Schools (Woodbury & Cottage Grove area) for 15 years prior to landing a job at St. Croix Central. Once hired at SCC, I worked with K-2nd grade in the elementary for 2 years before transferring to the middle school in the fall of 2009. As a middle school teacher I am well aware of the challenges students this age can face. I'm a student advocate, but request that we (parents, student, and teachers) work as a team in order for your child to reach their fullest potential. I'm looking forward to working with your child!
