Small groups are an important piece of a comprehensive school counseling program. Small groups allow students to learn, practice, and apply life skills in a supportive setting. Small group topics may include friendship/social skills, self regulation and coping strategies, school success skills, grief/loss, and others based on student needs.
Small groups consist of a school counselor or school psychologist along with several other peers. Small groups typically run for 6-8 sessions. We do our best to schedule small groups outside of core classes.
