Connect to Seesaw to receive important updates from your child and Mrs. Stultz. Your child will post to Seesaw to share their learning with you. Teachers will also send you messages and reminders. Seesaw is private. You’ll only see posts created by your child or their teacher.

I use a web-based program called Class Dojo to help track students’ behavior and to stay in teacher-home contact. Not only is this great for behavior management, but it is also an excellent communication tool to help keep you updated about your child’s behavior. While Dojo has some similar features to SeeSaw, we will be using Class Dojo exclusively for behavior management.
In Class Dojo, students can earn points for positive behaviors such as being on task, following directions, helping others, etc. Students can also lose points for negative behaviors such as being off task, not following directions, etc. Sometimes they will know when they are earning/losing points because they will hear a high or low pitch ‘ding’ through the overhead projector. Other times they may not know they are earning or losing points. Points can be earned or lost individually, as a whole class, or as a group.
I use Class Dojo as a token economy in the classroom. Students can spend their points to earn rewards, such as a Show and Tell, Silly Hat Day, a bookmark, etc. They can also save their points for larger rewards, such as being a guest reader in another classroom or extra recess. Students help me create the list each year so we can ensure there is something rewarding for everyone. Please do not panic if you see your child has lost a point or two. If there is a persistent behavior issue, rest assured that I will contact you by phone or email to discuss it with you.
