Gustar - to be pleased
1) Who is pleased?
me (I)
te (you) (i)
le (he, she, you (f))
nos (we)
os (you all (i))
les (they, you all (f))
2) Should you use gusta or gustan?
Is it followed by something SINGULAR or PLURAL?
When followed by Plural Nouns...
Me gustan los camarones.
When followed by Several Singular Nouns...
Root your answer in the question... both can be grammatically acceptable.
Me gusta el béisbol y el fútbol. (More common... more fluid sound.)
(or)
Me gustan el béisbol y el fútbol.
Depends on whether the question used gusta or gustan. It is very IMPORTANT to reflect the question in the answer.
When followed by Verbs...
Me gusta hablar, cantar, y bailar.
NOT... Me gustan hablar, cantar, y bailar.
3) Start the sentence with an A, if there is a name or a subject pronoun. (A Luis le gusta la pizza.) (A ella le gusta el chocolate.)
