Essential to LIVING a well-balanced life of meaning and contribution is developing the dispositions necessary to be resilient in the face of adversity. We accomplish this by emphasizing strong developmental relationships and creating brave learning spaces where students and teachers challenge themselves and each other to grow.
Goal: Cultivate learning environments that equip students of all ages with the skills and habits of mind to develop resilience and perseverance; engage others bravely, confidently, and respectfully; grow from setbacks; understand the importance of community; and develop empathy for the diversity of human experience.
The 2025-26 budget supports students to develop the dispositions necessary to live well-balanced lives of meaning and contribution by:
promoting well-being and belonging through inclusive curriculum and Responsive Classroom training;
constructing a new synthetic turf practice field at SHS to support hundreds of athletes across multiple seasons;
initiating a multi-year co-design and replacement program for our elementary school playgrounds as the current structures reach the end of their useful lives;
continuing investment in social worker support across K-12;
maintaining our annual investments in instructional technology, while expanding our deployment of door-ajar sensors and cameras across all campuses.
