The Student Course Worksheet

This worksheet will be given to all 8th grade students during the House Counselor's presentation. 

The purpose of this sheet is to help students list their desired electives. This sheet also aims to simplify the
3 main choices.
1. Freshman Seminar or The Civic Education Lottery
2. Art, Music, or Acting
-Students who select art will take Studio Art for the first semester and an elective the the second semester. We ask students to list two electives: a first choice and a back up.
-Students who are in Civic Education will only be able to complete half of a credit of art during 9th grade.
3. World Language
-Students can continue, start, or switch

Students are encouraged to use the SHS Course Catalog to make choices. 

The Course Conferencing Worksheet

This worksheet is a more complete version of the one above, as it includes the student's course recommendations. 

Your child's House Counselor will complete this with the student during their individual course conference.
