Students in the SPARK program were challenged to answer the following essential question:
The SPARK Program was a free, summer enrichment opportunity for children currently enrolled in kindergarten through 5th grade in the Scarsdale Public Schools. Students engaged in authentic project work that applies academic skills, problem solving, and critical and creative thinking while connecting with peers and adults in the program.
How can we help endangered species in the world?
How can we develop a resource guide for new residents to Scarsdale to learn more about our community?
How can we help animals in need? What role do Animal Shelters play in a community?
How do we design sustainable gardens for a school in need of one?
How can we learn about food recycling and composting to help our environment?
How can we harness the sun's energy to help power our lives?
