Birthday Timeline Poster

Your child’s birthday is approaching and it is time for him/her to create a Timeline Poster to celebrate the special day. The poster is created by students and parents. It is a 4-6 pictorial representation of different milestones in the child's life. Kids place the pictures chronologically and write a few sentences about the picture and the milestone. For example, "Here I am at age 2 and I was drinking from a bottle."

The THIN poster board (11x17) should have the child’s name along the top or bottom, and can be decorated with stickers, markers, etc. Students will be sharing the poster during their birthday celebration. Summer birthdays will be celebrated in June. See the example below.

*In order to be sensitive to students' feelings, please mail party invitations rather than distribute them at school.

Here ...is at 1 driving a car.

Here ...is 2 years old at the beach.

Here ...is 3 years old at the fire station.

Here ....is 4 years old getting ready for kindergarten.

Here ....is 5 years old.
