I teach General and Vocal Music here at Fox Meadow School to children from Kindergarten through Grade 5. I have enjoyed 22 years here at our school making music with children. My background also includes teaching Middle School and High School in New Canaan, CT and Elementary School in Greenwich,CT., Evanston,Il. and Park Ridge,Il.  I have also taught Teacher Education at National Louis University in Evanston, Il. My strengths are choral music and piano.  I have completed a Kodaly Certificate at Hartt School Of Music in CT. and I hold a Master in Music from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. 

My students learn music by experiencing it directly through singing, playing instruments, listening and movement. Technology is also used to enhance musical learning, especially composition and improvisation. A variety of musical prompts are used as a basis for musical exploration including children's literature, singing games and folk dance. The primary goal is to foster a love of music by engaging children in activities that are joyful and filled with play and purpose. I am so very fortunate to work with our Fox Meadow children!
