Mrs. Burns

Prior to teaching at Heathcote, I taught at schools in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Westchester. 

Before becoming a teacher, I worked as an art advisor in New York City. 

I grew up in New York and went to college in Massachusetts at The College of the Holy Cross. I have my MA in Art History and MS from Bank Street College of Education. 

I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children on the beaches of Cape Cod, South Carolina, and New York!

I love visiting all types of museums and exploring new cities.

I am always looking for a good book to read! My favorite genre to read is historical fiction.
