flow

Breathe in, breathe out.
In here, I am safe.
As I inhale and exhale, I find serenity
My worries, my fears,
My doubts, my tears
In this water’s soothing flow,
my heart lets go.
But as I soak in this bathtub’s warm embrace,
Memories of my mother’s love begin to flow and fill the space.
Like the water’s gentle current, the nostalgia carries me away.
To moments of laughter, tears, and life’s ebb and flow
As she’d wash my thick, oh so kinky curls
She taught me to embrace,
The beauty of my hair and the story it unfolds in place.
Just as the water's waves rise and fall,
My journey's ups and downs, I learn to stand tall
Like the ripples on the surface, my impact spreads wide
With every move, I make my mark, and leave a lasting strive
As the water's flow washes over me,
I let go of fears, and set my spirit free
In this tub, I find solace and peace
And learn to flow with life's rhythm, like the water's release.
Breathe In... Breathe Out.
As I step out of the tub,
I wonder what the next wave of life will lead me back to...
