Considering the principles of UI/X Design our primary goal was for navigability, ease of use, and overall attractive design.
Naturally these don't reflect the final product or prototypes, but simply an insight to the iterative nature of our process as we refine these wire frames into High Fidelity Prototypes.
This is the landing page, a simple one to be sure but tried and true. The app requires an account to use, and is able to be logged on through Google or Facebook.
Future prototypes will have a more refined color pallet that matches the flavor of our mission statement, and overall mission goals.
When we creating the home screen, we wanted the user to get a seamless experience. They are immediately greeted with options of where to retrieve their file they wish to print. Ranging from the phone directory, Google drive, Dropbox, or even a URL. We want the user to push the least amount of buttons as possible.
The other aspects of the Home Screen include the option to view a map is immediately accessible. In addition the user's settings and profiles can be seen by expanding the menu button on the top right. Finally their pending cart can be seen on the top left.
After Uploading a file, you are greeted to this page. The most simple and most widely used options are immediately available: Name, Paper size, and orientation. However, if there is more settings that would like to be adjusted, there is an advanced button icon that is available which would bring up a plethora of printing options for the print job. If you are satisfied with the printing settings and would like to use them again, there is a save icon.
Following this the user would then go to the native map, where they will see the print stores that support the format of their print job, as well as their price. If the user decides to back out, it will auto fill.
