Dhananjay Gaonkar

Originally hailing from Mumbai, I moved to Harrison, NJ, in 2022 to pursue a Masters in Information Technology and Data Analytics at Rutgers Business School. Throughout my time at Rutgers, I not only immersed myself in academic pursuits but also took on leadership roles to contribute to the vibrant student community. Serving as an E-board member for the International Students Organization, I spearheaded the development and execution of diverse events, fostering cross-departmental collaboration and effective communication among students.

In addition to my extracurricular involvement, I actively engaged with the Career Development Center, where I assisted in fulfilling their data analysis requirements and supported operational communications for various events and career fairs. Furthermore, I had the privilege of serving as a Teaching Assistant for the Management Information Systems (MIS) course, guiding students through the intricacies of SQL, Advanced Excel, and Tableau. These experiences not only broadened my skill set but also reinforced my commitment to fostering academic excellence and student success.

Formerly, I commenced my career journey at Infosys, where I underwent comprehensive training in Python, SQL, data structures, data warehousing techniques, and testing capabilities. Working closely with esteemed clients such as Citibank, I contributed to the success of critical projects, leveraging my expertise in Python development to streamline data collection and management processes. These early career experiences instilled in me a deep appreciation for the intersection of technology and business, fueling my passion for driving impactful solutions through data-driven insights.
