About our theme:
“Relax. Relate. Release”
In these uncertain times where COVID 19 has impacted the normalcy of the world as we know it, we must recognize that some things are within our power to change and others are not. It is when dealing with the things we cannot change that it becomes important that we first "Relax" and process our current situation. Relax: to make or become less tense or anxious.
As we endure the trials and tribulations during these uncertain times and attempt to Relax, it is important that we recognize that others too may be struggling. In some cases, we are able to "Relate" to our peers. Relate: to make or show a connection between...to identify with...
As we Relax and put things into perspective, and at times are able to Relate to the struggles of others, it is imperative that we also "Release" from the restraints and the burdens that impact our wellness. Release:"to set free from restraint, confinement...to relieve from something that burdens or oppresses..."
As we begin to prepare for this upcoming academic semester while still persevering through these uncertain times, let us all utilize the practices, mechanisms and information being shared with us today in our efforts to ensure our own personal wellness, and the wellness of our students.
