Short bio: Hiroya Nakao received Dr. Sci. (Physics) from Kyoto University, Japan in 1999. He was an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University, an associate professor at the Graduate School of Information Science and Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology, and an associate professor and then professor at the School of Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology. He is currently a professor at the Department of Systems and Control Engineering, School of Engineering, Institute of Science Tokyo, Japan. His research interests include nonlinear dynamical systems, stochastic processes, synchronization, and self-organization. [CV]
