In the Spring of 2020, students experienced a sample of online virtual learning. The Virtual Academy will be its own school where students interact with teachers and students completely online throughout the year to complete their academic goals. Curriculum will be high quality and equitable to what students might experience in person.
A Blended Learning Model uses some virtual strategies, like front-loading content or independent activities, along with some in-person interaction in the school building. The model allows for student independence and the ability for teachers to meet with students in smaller groups on campus or online.
Because of the uncertainty of future closures, communities may be asked to shelter in place again, and students enrolled at a school site may experience blended learning if school sites close again.
