Accessing Newsela

Students should first make sure that both the Clever and Newsela apps are installed on their iPad. If not, students should:

1. Open the Self Service app on their iPad.

2. Search for Newsela, and download the app.

3. Search for Clever, and download the app.

Once both apps are installed, students should:

1. Open the Clever app, and use the Sign in with Google option.

2. Within the Clever app, tap the icon for Newsela. The Newsela app should then launch.

Articles in Spanish

To search for articles written in Spanish, click on Search at the top. Enter the search terms you want, then click Search. Once search results appear, click More Filters, select Spanish under Language, then click Apply.
