A student can receive one hour of service for recording a book review if the final review meets the following criteria.  Note - Generative AI may not be used to create the script, review, or synopsis.  The title selected must be appropriate for the grade level.

To be granted service credit, the student must: 

1. Create a recommendation video on a book that you have read.  The book should be in the SBHS Library collection or suitable for library purchase. (If the selected book is not in the library collection, please confirm the title with Mrs. Manganello prior to creating the video.)

2. Submit an MP4 of the recommendation video in SB Reads Recommendation Videos folder.

3. Email Mrs. Manganello a copy of the rubric with your signature.  (Videos submitted without a signed rubric will not be considered.)

Students will receive an email from Mrs. Manganello confirming the award of the hour of service.  This email will act as a receipt for National Honor Society service hours.
