This collection, created by educators in Australia, offers translations of excerpts of Nazi speeches, documents, and propaganda.

Credible Websites with Primary Sources on US Perspective of WWII

A collection of documents, records, and artifacts related to World War II.

All Hands, an internal publication from the US Navy, was distributed to service members.  By exploring each issue, researchers gain access to what the Navy sailors knew as the war was unfolding around them.  

In addition to general context about the impact of the atomic bomb on the War in the Pacific (secondary source), researchers can view primary sources that include memos and letters connected to the Manhattan Project and the decision to drop the atomic bomb on Japan.  Context for each primary source is provided to help researchers to better understand the value of each source.

Interviews with those who worked on the Manhattan Project.  The archive can be searched by subject and written transcripts of each interview are included.  Remember both the transcript and the recordings are primary sources as the person interviewed provides a first-hand account of the events discussed. 

Collection of recordings and transcripts that includes veterans of all major armed conflicts.  Search the collection with the search box at the upper right of the main screen.

Includes pamphlets, advertisements, posters, and other documents produced by the US government during World War II.  Origin information is provided, but little context is given for the items included.
