Nieman Honors US History Research Resources
Dear Scholars,
In the library I have a "talking" book cart for World War II. My post-its will speak to you about the resources placed on the cart. The post-its indicate materials of interest to those studying the bomb. I am by no means recommending that you read and consider only the marked sections! Below you will find electronic sources of interest on both topics, as well as details on common citation questions. Please let me know if you need additional assistance.
Good luck in your research,
Mrs. Manganello (aka Mrs. M.)

MLA Citation questions and samples
To cite a fact or statistic gathered with ABC-Clio's CLIOView follow this model. Enter the country that you are selecting to retrieve data on.
"Germany: CLIOview." World at War: Understanding Conflict and Society. ABC-CLIO, 2014. Web. 21 Dec. 2014.
To cite a New York Times article retrieved from Proquest (Traditional):
If you are using the Proquest Historical Newspapers (Traditional), click Cite on the top navigation bar. Be sure to select the citation style (MLA 7) to get the latest formatting style.
Note: I found that the citation that is generated might need some clean up. For example, the last name of the author should appear last name, first name in regular case. Check a MLA guide to be sure that the final citation is correct.
To use Proquest Historical Newspapers (Graphical):
If you are using the Proquest Historical Newspapers (Graphical), click on Citation/Abstract in the top navigation bar. The information need to create your citation will appear, but you will need to craft it into a correct MLA citation. Follow this example to help.
