- Your audience (Monmouth Junction Elementary School students, ages 4-10)
- What subjects might interest the children?
- How can my reading bring the poem to life for the children?

- One poem per SBHS student. Check the list to be sure that your choice is still available.
- The SBHS Librarians will photocopy the poem that you select. Ask at the circulation desk.

- What elementary school did you attend?
- Who was your favorite teacher?
- What is a fun memory that you have about the school that you attended?

- Speak in a slow and engaging manner that is easy for the children to understand.
- Include your face. Unmasked faces keep students engaged! Smile and enjoy reading the poem that you select.
- Check your lighting so that you are clearly visible.
- Check your background. Make sure to film in a child-friendly area that is appropriate for an elementary school classroom.
