India and South Asian Family Research
Indian Births and Baptismal Records Dates from 1786-1947. This could include relatives born in India during that period. The more information you have the better your result will be.

African-American Family Research
Digital Library on American Slavery - Created by the University of North Carolina, this online archive includes news articles, court records, and other historical documents. It is searchable by subject or by surname.
In an effort to give answers to the many African-Americans whose family tree is impacted by slavery, historian Thomas Blake provides a carefully researched list of the largest slave holders of 1860. The list can be searched by surname and location.
University of Virginia archive that features the slave narratives of African-Americans gathered during a survey in the 1930s. Provides excellent accounts of the reality of slave life.
