Social Studies - Global Connections
In this unit, we will explore the question: How can we act as global citizens?
Is it possible to connect with a country and its people without ever setting foot there? From the label on a t-shirt to the sticker on a banana, we encounter evidence every day that the items we use have been harvested, manufactured, or produced by people from all over the world.
Students will examine how they are connected to distant places through the movement of people, goods, and ideas, gaining a deeper understanding of their role in a global community.
