TRADITIONAL POSTERS:
Posters must be created by individual students.
SIZE REQUIREMENTS: Students create an 11x14” artistic representation of the 2025 theme.
The posters will be judged by a panel of teachers. Their decisions will be final.
The theme must appear on the poster. World Languages: a Core Subject
Each teacher can submit approximately 5% of the total number of students enrolled in all of their classes. Ex: 100 students= 5 posters, 200 students = 10 posters.
Please send the posters as FLAT PACKAGE, i.e. not in a poster tube, as it is much easier to lay them out and judge them if they have not been rolled.
The posters will be judged on the basis of:
Relevance to the Theme
Creativity and Originality
Visual Impact
Clarity and Neatness
DIGITAL ART parameters:
Students may create an original digital artistic representation as part of this contest.
Graphic design is a 21st century skill, and we are excited to offer this as an option.
Any submissions MUST adhere to copyright laws by citing sources.
Additionally, while a poster may be created digitally, it needs to follow the general submission guidelines: size, flat package, postmarked by March 18, 2025
Submissions that do not conform to all of the above requirements will not be judged.
The entry information, linked below, must be affixed to the back of the poster.
This entry information sheet must be affixed to the back of the poster.
Admissions will be judged and awards will be sent to the recipients.
POSTER PICK UP: Posters will be available for pick up at the statehouse reception later this year. If teachers cannot attend the reception, they can arrange to have them picked up, or send postage to have them shipped back
