Apply to Attain the the SoBL

By filling out this application, you are expressing your interest in attaining the Seal of Biliteracy.  Most students will use English as their first language and will show proficiency through English classes or other assessment.  Most students show proficiency in the second language  with an assessment taken in the Spring during your WL class or other agreed upon time.  The STAMP 4 is the most common assessment given here at SBHS.  The cost of the STAMP 4 assessment is approx. $25.  Students are responsible for paying for the assessment.  If the STAMP 4 does not exist in the language in which you are requesting to earn the SoBL, we will do our best to find another applicable assessment.  The cost may vary.  Please see your teacher if the cost of the assessment is a financial burden to you or your family.  You may use the additional comments section at the bottom of the application to let us know of any special circumstances or to ask for financial assistance.
