Welcome to 5th Grade!
The 5th grade team has moved to specialized instruction this year, meaning that 5th grade students will rotate between the 3 teachers to get core instruction in different subject areas. They will travel with their cohort: Amethyst, Emerald, or Sapphire to their core subjects.

Mrs. Reagan - Science and Social Studies
(formerly Ms. Petzold)
I am originally from Maryland, but I went to UVM for college and fell in love with Vermont, so I had to come back! Some of my hobbies are reading, drawing, and taking care of my many houseplants! Some of my favorite things are corgis, dinosaurs, tea, and campfires.
Mrs. Bliss - Math
I am a Vermonter from the Northeast Kingdom. This is my 13th year at Orchard and my 32nd year teaching. I enjoy walking, canoeing, music and being with my family. My six adult children are scattered around the United States. I now keep company with my husband, four dogs, two cats and two donkeys.
Ms. Barnett - English Language Arts (ELA)
I just moved from Massachusetts and am originally from the Cape Cod area. I'm thrilled to be in VT and have been loving all the outdoor time. I have two Australian Shepherds that I love to hike with. I'm an avid reader of many genres, love traveling near and far, and love pretty much all outdoor activities (just got into mountain biking!)
Mr. Kaulius - Special Educator
I've lived in Vermont for 20 years. Before that I lived in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I enjoy snowboarding, fishing, soccer, and family time.
Please note that due to scheduling of meetings and other duties that we will not always be able to check our emails during the day. If you need to share a change in dismissal plan or early pick up, please always email Allyson Yandow and Sue O'Brien in the front office as well. This is essential on days when teachers have substitutes as we don't check our school email if we are out!
