Process

Follow the steps below to complete the Wampanoag Way of Life Research Project:

  1. Assign roles for you and your partners: Secretary, Navigator, and Slide Master. The Secretary will be responsible for typing answers to our research question. The Navigator will be responsible for navigating this website and all of the links on this site. The Slide Master will be responsible for typing the information on the Google Slideshow, as well as adding images and animations/transitions. ALL GROUP MEMBERS are responsible for finding answers to the research question. ALL GROUP MEMBERS are responsible for designing the Google Slideshow. Use rock, paper, scissors if you cannot agree on roles.
  2. All group members login to Google Drive.
  3. The group Secretary will make a copy of the Wampanoag Way of Life E-Sheet.
  4. The group Secretary will share the copy with the other group members.
  5. The Navigator will click on link 1 to find the answer to research question 1 . ALL GROUP MEMBERS are working to answer the research question. Group members must take turns reading the information on the website outloud so all group members can hear. When the answer to the research question has been found the Secretary can type the answer on the copied E-Sheet.
  6. Next, click on link 2 in order to find the answer to the next research question.
  7. Continue to click on the links to find the answers to all research questions on the E-Sheet.
  8. After that, the Slide Master will create a new Google Slideshow and share the presentation with the Navigator and Secretary. Working TOGETHER, the Secretary, the Navigator, and the Slide Master will take details from the Google Doc and organize them onto the Google Slideshow. Be sure to add relevant images, animations, and slide transitions to enhance your presentation. Be sure to review the Rubric to see how you will be graded on this project.
  9. Once the Google Slideshow is complete, you will be presenting it to the class. Be sure to plan out which partner will be presenting which slides. You will not be scored on your presentation for this project. However, this is a great opportunity to practice your presentation skills for future projects!
  10. Be sure to share the copy of your E-Sheet AND your Google Slideshow with Mrs. Ashley (jennifer.ashley@somersetschools.org).
