Engineering is the backbone of modern infrastructure — from renewable energy farms to aerospace systems — and it relies on rigorous processes to move ideas from concept to reality. Our Engineering Design course immerses students in this systematic journey.
Using Project Based Learning aligned with the Engineering Design Process, students tackle design tasks spanning transportation, clean energy, agriculture, and more. They learn each step of the engineering design process: questioning, researching, imagining, planning, building, testing, and evaluating. Safety protocols for materials, power tools, and machines are non-negotiable, just as they are in professional workshops. Engineering software and the national Standards for Technological and Engineering Literacy (STEL) guide each unit, giving learners a framework that mirrors university and industry practices.
Graduates emerge with tangible products and a robust problem-solving mindset — exactly the combination needed to innovate in manufacturing, architecture, sports equipment design, and beyond, cementing their role as tomorrow’s engineering leaders.
