Class Description
This course is designed to help students understand decision-making. This economic reasoning process involves the consideration of costs and benefits with the ultimate goal of making decisions that will enable individuals and societies to be as well-off as possible. The course will use economic principles applied to current events and issues. Emphasis includes decision-making, allocation of scarce resources, incentives, economic institutions, markets and prices, economic systems, market structures, productivity, role of government, global economic concepts, and economic indicators.
