Embracing Growth and Passion in Teaching

As I journey through life, my commitment to avoid becoming stagnant in my daily routines remains constant. I am fueled by a deep-seated aspiration to excel in the fields that ignite my passion. In my younger years, the path that has led me to this fulfilling career in teaching was beyond my wildest imagination.

My time at Scottsbluff High School has given me many incredible opportunities. The privilege of teaching topics that fill me with enthusiasm has truly been a dream realized. During my time here, I have had the opportunity to shape a curriculum that resonates with me deeply. This journey has also presented me with the challenge of continuously acquiring and honing new skills. In my classes, we embark on many creative endeavors, spanning from the creation of video games to the production of live videos.

Throughout my teaching experience, I have come to understand that passion and empathy are fundamental qualities that define exceptional educators. These two core attributes serve as the bedrock from which all other positive traits spring forth. Without passion, a teacher lacks the proper motivation to expand their knowledge and cultivate a skill set that bolsters the subject matter. Without empathy, a teacher struggles to connect with their students on a profound level. It is only when a teacher can empathize with their students' social and developmental contexts that they can truly engage them, thereby fostering an environment where every student is afforded the opportunity to learn and thrive.
