WELCOME TO MS. PAEZ’S COMPUTER CLASS
7th grade-Computer Technology
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This class is a semester-long required class. It is a comprehensive, skill-based program designed to develop skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Project-based learning through the use of technology tools is also used, which provides students with a realistic snapshot of the technology used in today's world.
RULES
All Bluffs Middle School rules will apply in the classroom. Students are also asked to:
Show respect to other people, the environment and yourself
Do your best which requires believing in yourself, being prepared and always trying as hard as you can.
PROCEDURES
At the beginning of class:
1. Enter the room quietly, sanitize your hands, get your folder and sit in your assigned seat.
2. Please look to the front of the room where an agenda will be posted
with daily instructions. Begin bell ringer activity.
During class:
1. Save any trash until after class
2. Bathroom/water/nurse/locker policy: You are to use the bathroom during passing time, however, if you need to use the bathroom during class, it is best that you go before/after instruction or towards the end of the period. You must sign out/back in on the spreadsheet in the managed bookmarks tab on the computer. If it is an emergency, please just go and let me know how you are doing when you return. I will provide two passes a month as an incentive for not using the bathroom during class. You may have a water bottle with water only and it must be kept on the floor. If you aren’t feeling well, please let me know. You may only go to your locker at the beginning and end of the day.
3. Please do not touch or tamper with any of the cords or plug-ins.
4. Please do not personalize the computers
At the end of class:
1. Log off and pack up your belongings only after you have been asked to do so.
2. Clean the area around your table and bring keyboards and mouse pads down toward the end of the table. Push in your chair.
3. Stand behind your chair until I dismiss you. We DO NOT line up at the door.

COMMITMENT TO STUDENTS:
