About Me 

I am excited to embark on this new chapter as a Sixth Grade Math teacher at Bluffs Middle School. I have spent the last 6 years as a fifth grade teacher at Westmoor Elementary. Prior to that, I was at Gering Public Schools as a third grade, physical education and fifth grade teacher for 20 years. I’m thrilled to bring my passion for teaching and learning into this new role.

I am a mother of three children and am married to my husband, Tory. My daughter, Ashtyn, faced a challenging battle with leukemia at the age of three. Her courageous fight inspired me to become a passionate advocate for childhood cancer awareness and support. In honor of Ashtyn and other brave children, I founded the Team Ashtyn Foundation, which provides support to families navigating the difficult journey of childhood cancer.

When I’m not teaching or working with the foundation, you can find me cheering on my college athletes at their sporting events. I’m an avid sports mom who loves spending time on the sidelines, supporting my kids and celebrating their achievements.

I am inspired by Jackie Robinson's words: "A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives." It is with this spirit that I approach my teaching, my advocacy, and my role as a mom. I’m looking forward to an amazing year with my students and am excited to share my love for math and learning with them. Here’s to a fantastic year of growth, exploration, and success!
