Advanced/ Technical Theatre

Class Description

Technical Theater focuses on the “non-acting” aspects of Theatre.  We will look at the “behind the scenes'' aspects of what theater is and how it happens. Then we will take what we have learned and produce a play. This class will learn about lighting, sound design, set building, costuming, makeup, and other technical skills.  This class will work on these skills for the same show that the Theatre/ Advanced Theatre class is working on each semester. 

Advanced Technical Theatre will work simultaneously with the Technical Theatre class.  These students will take on leadership roles for the design teams and will work closely with the teacher to see that all parts of the show create a cohesive production.
