Hello! I'm Mrs. Petsch, and I'm so excited to welcome you to sixth-grade English Language Arts! I believe middle school is a time for students to grow not only as readers and writers but also as confident, kind, and curious individuals. My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels supported, challenged, and excited to learn.

I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education in 2016. Then in 2020, I earned my Master's degree in Reading and Literacy from Concordia University, Nebraska, and I am currently working toward my Education Specialist degree in PK–12 Administration and Leadership through the University of South Dakota. I love learning and believe that continuing my education helps me become the best teacher I can be for my students.

Before joining Bluffs Middle School, I spent seven years teaching fifth grade at Westmoor Elementary, along with previous experience teaching kindergarten and first grade. Those experiences have shaped my passion for helping students become independent learners while building meaningful relationships with them and their families.

When I'm not at school, you'll usually find me spending time with my husband and our daughter, Steele. I also enjoy reading, traveling (especially to Disney World), photography, crafting, cheering on the Denver Broncos, and discovering new adventures with my family.
