How does Lunch and the Deli work?
Lunch can be ordered ahead of time using your Boonli account. Orders are profile specific and there is a two day rolling lockout for ordering.
The Deli within the kitchen hosts a wide array of snacks and drinks, some made at SBMS. This is a great place for your student to begin learning how to use money, the value of choice, and as a backup plan for when home lunches are forgotten. The deli has microwaves, utensils, plates and bowls for students to use. The Deli is open at lunch or after school and purchases can be made using funds added to their Boonli profiles.
What are Boonli accounts, and profiles?
Boonli is a website we use to pre-order lunches and add funds for walk up deli purchases.
Every family will create one account, on which each student will make a profile. Lunch ordering and deli funds are profile specific.
My student missed their lunch, what do I do?
Sick, or unexpected plan changes? Credits may be provided upon request. Email: kitchen@sbms.org
My student is moving on from SBMS, what happens to the remaining funds in my Boonli account?
All funds remaining on an account cannot be reimbursed. Accounts and profiles are deleted as families move on from SBMS.
If you have a sibling remaining at the school, deli funds can be credited to a sibling's profile.
My student did not like their lunch, what should they do?
We have one rule: Try it. As long as that rule is adhered to, we will take care of anyone who doesn't like a meal.
It is important that everyone who orders lunch understands that the kitchen will not let someone go hungry. They should come speak to a volunteer or chef to see what the kitchen can do for them.
