I am lucky to have met P.A Support Subic Ltd. Inc. in 2011 and started working as one of their customer service representatives until now. With 9 years’ experience, I faced struggles and challenges. But I was able to conquer it all by being passionate, dedicated and committed to my job. As time passes by, I learned to keep a work-life balance, a mom in a daytime and a customer service agent at night.
Through the years, I was given a chance to showcase my talent by being one of the authors of the Customer Service Handbook, one of the facilitators in the Playasia’s charity event for the aspirant call center agent based on my personal experienced, training newbies that most had been regularized, continuous receiving numerous award in getting highest score in the customer satisfaction survey (CSAT), an achiever of the month-to-date scorecard based on the over-all performance. And last but not the least, I have been nominated thrice in the Search for the Outstanding Workers of Freeport Zone where I failed twice in 2018 and 2019. ‘Never lose hope because we never know what tomorrow may bring’, the word that instilled in my mind. The full support and trust given by my family, management and bosses, colleagues and friends, become my motivation to move forward.
Life, as we know it, is full of ups and downs. Sometimes it breaks us, sometimes it pampers us, and most often it confuses us with its never-ending challenges. But the important part is how we use these kinds of situations in our life to nurture our future and strengthen our character as a professional, a faithful believer, a loving son, a caring brother, or just as a normal citizen of our country. With that said, I can confidently say that I am very blessed that I made it to this part of my life. It was all made possible with the help of my family, especially my mother and sister, who have been with me from the start supporting me, together with my friends and colleagues and most especially, almighty God, who never failed to push me through good and bad times.
Now, as I embark on the second quarter of my life. With all memories and experiences behind me, I will continue to push through to improve what I have, while savoring every moment, enjoying the little things and making sure that I live with no regrets. That is how I want to leave an impact as a person and as a professional which is in line with SBMA’s advocacy to enhance a culture of excellence and continuous productivity inside and outside the Freeport. I am very honored to be here today together with all the other candidates for this search, to be an example and a part of the bridging growth with Freeport’s culture, social spirit, and strategic directions.
Fondly called "Kuya Kim", is the one in charge of the company's Heavy Equipment Operation. Kuya Kim is very dedicated and committed in all that he does. Kuya Kim's leadership is exhibited by being an excellent follower. He maintained his instinctive attitude to talk less and do more. He always shows eagerness in finding ways he can impact change. His enthusiasm and energy never diminished throughout the day's work and he is a friend to everybody.

After graduation, Julie wanted to be closer to her family in Bataan, but still work in a place that would give her the chance to work in a dynamic environment, as well as a place where she could contribute to the preservation of natural resources. And to her, the Subic Bay Freeport sounded like the perfect place.
Fortunately, SUBICWATER was also in need for a chemist at that time, and recognizing Julie’s achievements and penchant for continuous learning, it seemed like a match down to the molecular level.
Since then, Julie has proven herself to be more than just your everyday chemist, expanding her skills to other important roles in the organization like ISO documentation, quality control management, and data analysis. But most importantly, Julie has now made herself a model of being an outstanding role player, not just within SUBICWATER, but in the entire Subic Bay Freeport’s environmental preservation and the area’s water safety and potability. Julie’s advice for her co-Freeport workers?
“Always give your best, and work from the heart in everything that you do.”
Thea has been working on dual roles with the company: as nurse, and HR specialist- handling recruitment and training. In short Thea is instrumental in ushering in employees to SUBICWATER, and ensuring that each and everyone is in tiptop shape.
She shared, “As the company nurse, I constantly push for more comprehensive safety procedures, and systematic ways to safeguard our company’s, employees’, and even customers’ health and welfare.” When asked if she has achieved her goals as a nurse? “Even though I don’t get to care for families in a hospital or a clinic, I think I now have a bigger responsibility of making sure that my brothers and sisters in SUBICWATER are all healthy, so that we can properly serve our Freeport family,” replied Thea.
I found myself in grief and despair but instead of mourning, I focused all my efforts in my work to give a better future to my daughter. I always need to lunch out just to feed her and put her to sleep, but after some time, she became weak and sick that my sister initiated to let her take care my daughter in her province.
Even with a heavy heart, I let it happen and became more eager to work hard. All my efforts became fruitful as I was assigned as a Quality Supervisor in 2013. On the work side, I fulfilled my job to the best of my abilities as I became more knowledgeable in handling quality reports, incoming outgoing and standard operating procedures. However, on my private life, I felt helpless as my husband did not provide any allowance for my daughter and at the same time, I need to support my father.
Two years have passed since I transferred to Production as a Production Supervisor. It is also the same year that I found out that my husband already had a child with another woman. Since my daughter is already studying, I took legal action for her financial support and won a court agreement against my ex-husband. The succeeding year seems a blessing as I was again promoted as a Senior Production Supervisor. I am truly grateful that the company appreciated my hard work despite of the personal struggles that I am facing.
Our life is a never-ending battle, and it always depends on our eagerness and determination to survive and adapt to the never-ending challenges. If I will compare myself to a thing, I like to consider myself as an empty cartridge that our company is manufacturing. An empty disposed cartridge that has nothing. All the experiences, whether good or bad, filled me up with knowledge and courage to be where I am right now, just like how an ink refills a useless empty cartridge.
With my experience in starting and working at the very bottom, I always strive hard to provide an equal opportunity and appreciation to everyone that has potential and diligence.
