Wayne Johnson

Wayne Johnson and his wife Andrea moved to Sergeant Bluff nearly fifteen years ago with their three daughters who are now in fifth, seventh and ninth grade. He is an active community member serving on the Sergeant Bluff Planning and Zoning Board, United Way of Siouxland Board, Siouxland Chamber of Commerce Transportation Committee, and Morningside College Ag Advisory Board.

Barney Pottebaum

Barney Pottebaum and his wife have been residents of Sergeant Bluff since 2000 and two of their children graduated from the high school. He has been on the District’s facilities planning committee since 2006 and volunteers with the National Electrical Contractors Association on the local and state level, the Sioux City Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee and the Board of the Council on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence. He and his wife have made a long-term commitment to the success of the students of Sergeant Bluff by offering four $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors each year.

Juli Smith

Juli Smith’s long-term career in the military following her graduation from Millikin University has moved her around the country over the past 20 years and brought her to Sergeant Bluff in 2017. Her two children have been attending Sergeant Bluff schools since 2009.

Storm Throne

Storm Throne arrived in Sergeant Bluff from Nebraska ten years ago and became a student and dedicated athlete at Morningside College where he played baseball and basketball. This dedication led him to the start of his professional career when he was drafted to play baseball with the Chicago White Sox in 2012.
